About Me

I like to say I began my life at Columbia College Chicago. This stems from a long held belief that if you don't live in a city you might as well be dead. While at Columbia I wrote and directed the short Illuminated which was featured at the Cannes: Short Film Corner. Then, as a senior, in practicum, I directed the short film Daddy's Little Girl which was selected for the Sao Palo International Film Festival. After graduating with a bachelors in Cinema Arts + Science with a concentration in Directing I decide to move to L.A.

I'm currently working for Black Girl Nerds as a podcaster and Contributing Writer and a Co-Host for AfterBuzz. My main goals have been to discuss diversity in nerd-pop  culture and create a dialogue among fans via social media. I oversaw media coverage for Comic Arts Los Angeles in 2015 and will cover the SXSW Film Festival. You might also see me at NYCC and SDCC, but we're still waiting for approcval on applications.

My work background  is varied and includes being the assistant to director Vaughn Monroe when Trouble in Mind was up at the award winning Artistic Home Theater in Chicago. I was also the creative development assistant to Hollywood based director Marcus Nispel. I've worked several P.A. positions, but have decided I want to dedicate myself full time to writing.

When I'm not writing I'm obsessively marathon shows. American Horror Story, Gilmore Girls, The Wire, West Wing, Arrow, The Flash, Gotham, Board Walk Empire, and Buffy the Vampire Slayer were just the latest.
